Different Grades of River Rafting in Kashmir

River rafting in Kashmir offers different grades of difficulty from Grade-I to Grade-IV, catering to varying levels of experience and thrill-seeking. There are 3 main rafting streches in Pahalgam:

  • Varganpal to Yaneer Bridge (about 3kms) in Lidder-River is recommended for beginners which has rapids of up to Grade-III.
  • Varganpal and Ganeshpora in Lidder-River with a 5 km rafting distance and contains rapids up to Grade-III.
  • For experienced riders, there is the 12 kilometre stretch, which runs from Langabal to Ganeshpora and features rapids up to Grade-IV.
